Seating Behind the Couch: Pinspiration vs. Reality

Seating Behind the Couch: Pinspiration vs. Reality

Need more seating behind your couch? I pinned the above photo a year ago, even though it led to a broken link. I loved the raw edge of the table and the spiky pink lamps, but what I really needed was a cheap way to add extra seating behind our sectional couch. This long, thin seminar table is the answer.

It's not as glamorous as the raw-edged table, but this 96"x18" table fits perfectly behind our sectional. It's super sturdy, the price is right, and shipping is free.

We replaced the giant pink lamps with low, adjustable lights that can point toward the couch or the table. Anything larger would block sight-lines to the TV.

We share a double-wide trailer in the Catskills with our giant Irish family. Our 5-bedroom house sleeps 20 -- so it also needs to seat 20 in our open-concept dining room, kitchen and living room. Check out my full living room post for more photos of our super-efficient space and tips on where to buy all our accessories.
