A Catskill Mountain winter brings crisp blue skies, tree shadows spilling over snow, and the serenity of nature. It's the most peaceful time to visit the Catskills. In the wintertime, a 2-hour drive from the city to the mountains feels like being transported in another galaxy.

Today in Brooklyn, we're anticipating a balmy 70 degrees, so these photos taken last week really seem a world away.
